VIP on the Yard!

Everybody welcome new boy, Pumpkin to the yard!

I’ve very kindly been loaned Pumpkin as the schoolmaster that he is, from Angela Mackenzie from AMK Dressage to learn from and really develop as a rider. Pumpkin has competed up to Inter 1 with Angela so he knows all the tricks .... I just have to learn how to ask for them!

Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting to know Pumpkin at Angela’s yard near Gleneagles and been getting lots of help from her and resident classical dressage trainer Bob Steel. It’s been an absolute pleasure and education and I feel like I’ve learned more about riding and horsemanship during these last few weeks than I have in the last decade! I hope that that will continue and that with practice, my body catches up with my brain!!

Pumpkin is a quirky big horse with bags of personality but also very sweet and polite. He’s settling in well here at KA and I can’t wait to share with you all our journey together.
